Even though I had some interest in having my manuscript published, I was somewhat generally disappointed with the attitude of the companies that I dealt with. Their attitude was very profit driven and it was all about exploiting rather than adding value to the experience and the community.
Hence, I sought out Intertype as an alternative to taking my work to a possible next step.I am extremely happy with the presentation of the final product. There are considerable punctuation mistakes, and some paragraphing/formatting issues, but these are my errors.
In the final analysis, I decided to have the document printed without any real editing: not even shallow editing, and now I regret this to an extent… you can’t fix things after the print.
So, I am generally extremely happy with the printing aspect of my work, I think it looks far better than I could have imagined. If I could have my time over again, I would spend a little more money to create a more polished product. If I could provide any suggestion to Ian / Intertype, it would possibly be to ‘encourage/urge’ authors to pay more attention to the final product beyond just printing.
